To be honest it is not that much. In previous years we had demonstrations of about 200 000 people quite regularly against previous government. Plus one of the key points of the demonstrators is “to stop diluting Czech blood with Ukraine migrants”.
Evilsandwichman might not even be running Xorg, and half of the settings these tools adjust might be doing nothing at all.
I would assume that if you use system settings (not nvidia-display-settings or whatever it was called) it should work independently of the display protocol. Feel free to correct me I am on AMD and haven’t touched desktop environment in years.
I don’t have gnome-settings, should I get that off the software store? I read very briefly about a form of Ubuntu that uses something called GNOME (though I think that’s its own OS).
You should have some kind of settings app preinstalled. In it you can find display settings same as you would on Windows, if I remember correctly even on GNOME you can just right click your desktop and there will be something like Display settings.
Is Wayland an app that can alter desktop size?
Wayland is protocol and it basically handles how to draw everything on the screen. You don’t really need to worry about it unless you are doing something non standard.
Thankfully I managed to resolve my Steam issues (apparently I needed to add the drive to its list of drives).
I would advise against using NTFS from my experience (although it is few years old) some games would just refuse to run on NTFS drive. If you really don’t mind reformatting I would advise to just format it to EXT4.
