Because while starting a landscaping business doesn’t require any education or license, it does requires a decent amount of money, good credit and most importantly a willingness to exploit undocumented workers. Also, the fact that most of the owners are white guys while the employees are almost all brown probably attracts and appeals to guys who fantasize about running plantations or being an overseer.
ATHF is the only one of those that never tried to be anything other than funny. A lot of what made South Park cringye at times was Matt and Trey’s shitty opinions bleeding through into the show and them using their characters to get on a soapbox. Same with McFarlane and Family Guy. ATHF doesn’t have any characters acting as stand-ins for their showrunners, and it was so absurdist you couldn’t even tell what the writers views on anything were.
Kind of reminds me of when people used to say the same about Full Metal Alchemist. The only way you could genuinely think that it is pro-fascism is if you somehow managed to watch the show/manga enough to take in the aesthetic given to some characters without paying attention to what is actually happening in the story. I wouldn’t call either leftist, but I think FMA was actually written to be anti-racism. I haven’t finished AOT since I only watch the anime, but I think its closer to being a repudiation of fascism than anything else. Both shows are a little sloppy in how they handle it, but still.
Am I allowed to admit the clone wars cartoon show was more enjoyable to me than any of the movies? KOTOR as well. Shit, the lego games were more fun than half of the movies they’re about.
Is it possible to retire from MMA, stay in the public image, and then not go off the wall or do something that completely exposes your smoothbrain to the world? Like just in the past few months ( especially since the capitol thing) I can name like 4 ex-fighters who’ve either gone full brainworms or have just generally lost it.
Pitbull’s a Miami Cuban, so it’d be actually shocking if he didn’t have thoughts like that.
I mean, if you’re a leftist living in the west you’re probably doing a million things that could be considered ‘hypocritical’. While investing in stocks is less of a necessity than many of those things, I personally don’t feel any way towards people who do it to reach financial security. If you’re straight up investing in shit like Raytheon though, I’d say that’s different.
I know Weezy is a Trump supporter, and it wouldn’t surprise me if Trump’s justification for pardoning someone is just that they happen to like him. I’m not sure about Kodak though and I’m curious myself. I was wondering the same thing for Kwame Kilpatrick too. I guess he just thinks its enough to make black people support him.
Pretty much every sport that’s mostly white is gonna have a lot of chud fans. And youth hockey is mostly played in places where only white people live, so the fans are like the whitest of the white people. Youth hockey in particular is also pretty expensive with the equipment and the travel club teams and all that, so it has a lot of upper middle class types, which is pretty much Trump’s base.
