I’m staying up until Trump speaks, wanna hear that dude.
I also made a 1/4 page handout for my DSA chapter if there are local protests. Can print them off quick and hand them to the libs. Titled it ‘Think Outside the Box’ and wrote around that if we want shit, we gotta organize outside the, you guessed it, ballot box. Maybe we’ll use it, most likely I’ll keep it to myself.
These Trump remarks are going to set the tone for tomorrow.
We could see if we’ll be hitting the streets or not.
Looks like the DSA has won 26/30 of their nationally backed candidates. Tied with the exit polls that show a majority of people want government run healthcare AND ballot measures like min wage / legal weed passing I think it shows if you offer people something, they’ll vote for you.
Maybe there could be a lesson there? lol nah.
I just got my 10 year Green Card in the mail! I never knew it was processed so it’s a really nice surprise this morning.
Fucking Libs on my FB timeline being upset that ‘people still voted for Trump’.
Yeh, because as we learnt FOUR YEARS AGO, you need to give people something to vote for.
Watched someone on TV say ‘Biden looked presidential’.
Hate to say it but what Trump is doing is, by definition, presidential, HE IS THE PRESIDENT.
I’m thinking of making a ‘black book’ of progressive organizations in my local area.
Like in a zine style that can be distributed so people can see who the fuck is organizing in town. Big fucking letter on the cover saying ‘Organize or Die’, a little spiel about how the parties have abandoned us and to get what we want we need to organize outside of them, then bamn an easy to read reference book of local orgs. What they organize in, how to get in touch.
I was thinking of the categories being:
- Anti-Capitalist / People First Organizations (DSA, SRA, other local orgs etc)
- Mutual Aid (Food Not Bombs, Renter Unions etc)
- Issue Based (M4A, Stop War)
- Other
Seems like a good idea, or a really dumb one. I dunno.
