Yeah my local subreddit just shadowbans any comments from anyone newer than like 2 years. I had to contact the mod team to get approval to ask a question about city-wide waste collection a few months back.
Reddit has reached the stage where they are more concerned about shaping discourse than they are attracting new members. So any new account has a MISERABLE user experience. Many subs will auto delete your comments (either openly or via “shadowban” automoderator deletections)
Almost everything on reddit’s frontpage has been chosen by powermods, as they delete things they don’t like that organically hit it in favor of what they want (see: https://www.reddit.com/r/RedditMinusMods/)
The biggest problem is that reddit ingeniously continues to trickle out chud community bans (rather than, ya know, just fucking banning them and their members as they pop up) to keep a trickle of reactionaries seeding reddit alternatives at all times. So you never have another option.
I’ll ask the same question as I ask people with other less acceptable prejudices:
How many men do you interact with outside of the internet?
This is incredibly cringe, op
The pharma industry existing to hook people on exploitative drugs is like… the opposite of DARE rhetoric (not “rectoric” lmao are you 8 years old…).
DARE punishes the drugs that people take to escape their condition whereas pharma pushes drugs to keep you placid in it.
Very disappointing to see oxy/benzo/SSRI pushers on this site! Your time defending this kind of drug policy would be better compensated at McKinsey or Boston Consulting Group.
