Here’s mine I suppose.

I agree with a lot of it, but I don’t view us as unique among the universe. We are simply an example of an intelligent technological civilization that may either destroy ourselves as thought of by Sagan, or move to a Star Trek style post scarcity society. I also believe that FTL travel isn’t possible until a civilization reaches a certain threshold, then it becomes feasible.

One of the things I find most interesting is the idea of life being too alien to us to even understand it. For all we know, other civilizations may have never used emissive technologies so we may never discover them using our current methods. The other issue we currently have is let’s say we’re monitoring Planet X roughly a million light years away. Sure it looks empty and barren, but that’s data from a million years ago. They could have developed, advanced and spread let’s say 500,000 years ago, and we wouldn’t be able to detect it yet.
