The hair trigger on the banhammer hurts. Lots of people came to the site to do something different than irony and edgy attitudes, but got whacked not long after. So it’s survivor bias.

How dumb do you have to be to fight for something like this?

They had their own concentration camps, too. They conquered territory, ethnically cleansed it, and settled their own people on it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Karelian_concentration_camps

Concentration camp inmates on liberation by the Red Army in 1944. They were not put there by Nazis - no, they were put there by the Finnish government, which had its own set of camps. The children in the photo were imprisoned due to their ethnicity - Russian. https://www.histclo.com/imagef/date/2015/01/kar-cc44s.jpg

Scandinavia in WWII

Norway: I fought the Germans for 62 days, then our leader’s name entered the English language as a synonym for ‘collaborator’.

Denmark: I fought the Germans For 5 hours, then became a model Nazi province.

Finland: I invaded and annexed Soviet territory shoulder to shoulder with the Nazis, then created my own concentration camps in which I imprisoned civilians that I ethnically cleansed.

Sweden: I supplied the Germans with iron, without which their war effort would have ground to a halt.

All of us supplied volunteers for the SS.

Untrue. A Cuba Libre is a rum & coke with lime.

A rum & coke is just OK. But that squeeze of lime makes it sing.

Oh, and use Coke Zero, kids. Sugar is bad for you.

Remember that train crash in 2011 where all those people died and the government got roasted on social media? That was the wakeup call for them, afterwards they got the program rolling with censorship. Not long after Google said they were going to use their search engine to help engineer a color revolution in China and nothing could stop them. Boy were they surprised when they got roughly thrown out of the country.

Kinmen is where the Nationalists stopped the Communists. China tried to invade, but their invasion force wasn’t a fleet of battleships and landing craft like at Normandy it was…every fishing boat for 100 miles up and down the coast. Just about when they were going to land, a Nationalist patrol set off one of their own land mines, causing all of the beach guards to send up flares, spotting the invasion “fleet”. Every pillbox opened up and started wreaking havoc.

Many troops still reached shore, however. An M3 Stuart light tank, stuck in the sand the day before, was still on the beach. The crew got it moving but soon ran out of ammunition. As the invaders had no anti-tank weapons, the tank simply drove up and down the beach GTA-style, running over every soldier in its path. It earned the title “Bear of Kinmen” for its service and you can still see it today if you visit the island (like I did).

A Nationalist landing ship wasn’t supposed to be on Kinmen, but had gotten a delay in its return to Taiwan by radioing in to base claiming it had a broken engine. The real reason was because it was illegally loading up with smuggled coconut oil. It pulled a homer by being there with its minimal guns which were still better than the fishing boats’ zero guns. It sank dozens of them and prevented a second wave of invaders from being ferried from the mainland, which would probably have won the battle.

Why just a screenshot from some dubious source reporting that another source said something? Why not a link to the actual article?

This is how disconnected the mainstream and social media has made westerners to reality. They think they can do anything, just imagine it and poof it exists.

It’s because the media convinced them. It’s frightening how much media can just create “reality” out of thin air. It’s straight out of 1984.

The first seven seasons of The Simpsons, the golden age, belong to an America that doesn’t exist any more. 3 kids in a family, mom a homemaker, dad has a good job that allows him to own a house and support them all, two cars, benefits. That America of the lower middle-class was crushed by globalization. It’s as alien today to people as we find Cold War blackballing and McCarthyist ideological witch-hunts.
