I am openly communist at work, we talk politics a lot on night shifts, mids are too hectic to have time to talk to each other. My best defenses against getting sacked for this are that I am really good at my job, the boss is never there at night, and I have the reputation of being the funny kid so there is a looooot of plausible deniability that I was just joking about all that communism stuff.

this was a really good read, thank you for writing this. I am the exact same way, how an com is where I want to go, but ML is the most realistic way I see of getting there. Using the best aspects of both to create an ideology that fits our material conditions feels like the best way forward.
chauvin defense just asked to sequester the jury after the pigs killed someone last night, says one juror is from the community where the killing took place, and the jury would be afraid to vote not guilty because they’d be afraid of riots. The prosecution is against sequestration, obviously because this is a separate case that has nothing to do with chauvin besides being another officer involved shooting. The jurors already swore to avoid media about the case. edit: judge denied request to sequester
you sound like a great family member and you really care about this kid. fortunately these state tests don’t matter a whole lot, but it might be worth mentioning (if you haven’t already, apologies if you have) that state tests are super secretive about what exactly will be on them, so it’s not really something you can bring notes for like other tests at school.
