I was at my city’s DSA bylaws committee and they were pushing racial and gender quotas on leadership and I suggested a class quota and got pushback. One of the people there was a legitimate business owner with employees. Anyone who thinks that organization is proletarian in the slightest is fooling themselves. So glad I didn’t stay in america long.

I’m not particularly an undying supporter of China but I’ve noticed that western communists usually take a hard pro-vietnam stance and entirely blame China when the reality is not so clear cut if I’m going to be fair to both parties here (I think its because they secretly believe china is revisionist for adopting market reforms, not socialist for spliting with the soviets, or imperialist for attacking vietnam) but I dunno I don’t understand western communists and their weird ideological inheritence.

Chinese sources, and I can only assume Vietnamese ones too but I don’t know any Vietnamese, are much more detailed but trust me when I say it kicked off in 1978 not after the war. Also, Cambodia killed way way more ethnic Chinese than ethnic Vietnamese (there we’re more ethnic Chinese than Vietnamese in the country naturally)

damn I guess its okay when Vietnam “intervenes” into Cambodia but when China has a border conflict with Vietnam its an “invasion”. and no, the CPC definitely still supports the action and theres tons of movies in chinese cinemas about how good and necessary the action was
