I actually really dislike DLSS and FSR. At least to me the upscaling is pretty noticeable (but not the end of the world), but the artifacts that it causes drive me insane. I haven’t tested Onion Ring with it. But for example FH5 I get all sorts of ghost images on my screen and they go away as soon as I turn off DLSS.

Also weirdly on my laptop I got worse performance. I’m assuming that’s because I’m 100% CPU limited and there is a bit of CPU overhead to running DLSS.

I mean you shouldn’t be holding the sprayer down no matter what. You shouldn’t be doing short bursts and moving it quickly like a spray paint can. And when it gets cold shake it a bunch and wait for it to heat up. If you can see the refrigerant coming out then it’s too cold and you need to stop.

The T480 holds a meme status kinda like the *20 series mostly because it has 2 ram slots. The successor the T490 and even newer machines can typically be found for less money because of said memeage.

T series start at about $1000 USD, and tank rapidly in price after about a year old.

I got a T14 gen 2 AMD right before gen 3 came out for $300 brand new.

Honestly the best deals I find in the US are buying from Joe Schmo on FB marketplace or Craigslist. Whatever your local “I want to sell this old junk” websites are are what I’d look at first. eBay is great if you want to buy an almost new machine, but you’re looking at older machines where you’d get a much better deal buying from a rando. Expect to pay around 30% more on eBay or any similar sources because of all of the fees associated with selling as a business instead of privately.

Even then don’t just assume. They may have some skeletons in the closet, and not just because Halloween is over.

I think their confusion comes from OPs title.

Why is it “e-waste go brrrrrrr” when OP is presumably saying they’re keeping this laptop out of the machine? _ machine go brr is a dumb meme in the first place, people using it the wrong way makes it even dumberer.

The key is that Apples model isn’t all that large, and that’s how they’re targeting being able to do it efficiently on a phone. It also sucks so IDK.
