Isn’t the number one reason cheap meat since they need shittons of antibiotics in factory farming?
I’d assume that it’s more of a correlation that people in less polluted cities are richer on average and eat less of the really shitty meat that has the highest chance to carry that kind of bacteria?
The “funny” thing is that the moment those people have power they don’t have a problem going against free speech (see having books banned (in the US) or trying to stop people from voicing their opinion (Meloni in Italy))
It’s all just exploiting the tolerance of the system in order to make it less tolerant That’s why completely unchecked free speech is a bad idea as it will eventually lead in its complete demise
First their generation creates a problem thinking it won’t affect them and now that it starts threatening themselves they suddenly start having a problem with it - exactly my mind of humour…
I think a middle ground for the profile setting would be nice
Why is it even hiding posts from myself? Why is it impossible to even search for posts that that feature has hidden?
That’s why I disabled the setting and are currently exclusively using sync to browse
I thought it was something more subtle but this could as well be a poster made by the Nazis - wtf
In Germany it’s really risky to use torrents in general since there are lawyers that are specialised in sending people very high bills for seeding.
Most people know someone that got one of those bills over a couple of thousand euros so a lot of people are a bit traumatized when it comes to using torrents here.
Even though I’m probably not reading it enough to be worth it I pay a yearly only-subscription to one of the newspapers that gained my trust with good investigative pieces in the past.
If everyone was just consuming for free then a newspaper needs to either be heavily funded by a really wealthy person that pays them (and in turn makes it less likely that said newspaper will report against people like that) or the newspaper needs to sell ad-space. So if you are consuming for free AND blocking ads on a website then you are only costing that website money - and in case of newspapers that’s not a good thing since it ensures that only those that are publicly funded or funded by billionaires will survive “almost unchanged” while the rest will try to get as populist as possible to the the most amount of clicks to increase their ad-revenue
