I’m thinking a lot of people have the same reasoning. There has to be a paradigm shift for folks moving to Lemmy. It’s like going from a large public speaking event to a family reunion. You’re still presenting something to some people you may not know but the family reunion will be much more inviting and forgiving. At least, that’s how I see Lemmy.
I don’t browse All as often other than just seeing what’s being posted. I follow communities I actually want to participate in rather than just consuming whatever is most popular.
Looks like there is some new Youtube drama
Edit: I should of said controversy not drama. I’ll leave it for the replies.
How do you see the community growing? Look past the issues or continue to join together under a new common theme/title?
I understand wanting to avoid the conflict. I’m at the point of avoiding and trying to move on. I cancelled my FloatPlane subscription. I’d not watched any videos. I agree that it’d be great to continue the community.
I think there will be lots of people blindly downvoting. If you provide a way forward that might slow that behavior down. What would you suggest people start doing instead of focusing on what they should stop?
I’ll keep the bot going. It seems like the majority enjoy the feed.
Let me know if you want any other channels added.

I like the idea of having contests. Perhaps the community isn’t large enough to get enough engagement. For example, the banner one I did before. I’d like to have themes, like best pet photo, flower photo, etc. Just a thought.
I need to take on some of these tips. Since I have my son, my 5D and lenses are so heavy to travel with or take on trips to the park that I never take them anymore. Or I’m afraid I’ll forget something. I keep my equipment safe at home unless I can plan dedicated time alone.
