I read probably that much a couple years ago but put it aside for some reason. I did read Beton recently and loved it. I’d love to read The Man Without Qualities but it’s so intimidating. If you’re doing an Austrian literature run make sure not to miss Schnitzler, Fräulein Else is amazing (but disturbing)

I think Beton is called “Concrete” in English, Fräulein Else is also the English title though.

Schnitzler was really important to literary modernism & has a lot in common with Freud, who said he was his doppelgänger. A lot of his writing (but not all of it) was published before The Interpretation of Dreams though. I particularly like him for his narrative style. Damn I gotta get back into reading German literature.

The other day my roommate and I were talking about problematic rappers. There’s plenty of variety to choose from, whether you want someone who’s just regular misogynistic or if you want someone who ate their roommate’s lungs. But I still wasn’t sure who my favorite one was. Fortunately, Homeboy Sandman, who imo makes awesome music, just got dropped by his tour company because he was emailing people who had bought tickets to shows telling them how to get around the health guidelines so they wouldnt have to get vaccinated or wear masks. So now I guess he’s my favorite problematic rapper.

I havent used any stimulants. I’ve tried Strattera and a couple alternatives but Strattera works pretty well for me. Helps my focus a lot, I can read again. The main side effect for me is that it makes me really tired so I have to take it in the evening. Of course your mileage may vary though.
