British people did this for about a week with the head of our Supreme Court after one of the Brexit-related court rulings (which shockingly had zero impact on anything). She happened to wear a weird spider brooch once, and for a while all the insufferable centrists had a spider emoji in their twitter handles, along with their Lib Dem symbols and incomprehensible remainer slogans.

It made even less sense than the RBG stuff, because the judge in question is actually very conservative and our judges have no real power anyway.
