I’m disappointed so many people give credence to the Guardian. They have abysmal track record in reporting on topics they don’t have expertise in or subjects they ideologically disagree with.

As someone who does a lot of data science for work, this looked off immediately and I was right. The proportions of the vegan slice are exaggerated. Here’s actual ratio

They went from a great tech shop where engineering excellence was the main driver to a strictly ad business the moment MBAs took over. Story as old as SV capitalism. They did the same to Boeing, HP and many others.
