Linux is a great way to extend the usefulness of an EOL Chromebook. I would not buy a Chromebook for Linux though. You’d be better off getting a used Thinkpad or something.
I would argue that instances with a large amount of illegal content would be a good case for defederation as well, but I don’t know where the line is. Like I don’t want us to block piracy communities, but if an instance has CP or something it should be blocked. So the line is somewhere between the two.
You could replace Windows with Ubuntu/Mint/Debian/openSUSE/Fedora for even better effect.

Do any of these extensions work on Android? It’s the one thing I miss from Chrome mobile at this point.
Also out of the loop here, but is the plan for Cassia to truly function as Wine does and only handle system calls, or are they also going to include an x86 emulator?
