It has good songs and I think it would totally grow on me if I listened to it more often. it definitely feels like his most goofy but I could prob get behind that in the right mood

Yeah I agree with you there. Really the only Berman album I’m not huge on is lookout mountain though

Both times I’ve seen them, they played their newest at the time in full and then ended the set with all of slow riot

If you want to stick with some more Steinbeck check out East of Eden. One the best books I’ve ever read. I like Steinbeck a lot though. Also, Shirley Jackson and Flannery O’Connor are excellent

The worst part is that period was his best run of albums imo :/
