Client-side anticheat is a meme - gets no results and it’s invasive as hell at the same time. It’s just easier to impose it on players than actually staff a team that bans cheaters

Matrix/Element isn’t into crypto, but it leaks metadata and surveillance basically relies mainly on metadata anyway. Still, it’s my favorite alternative despite the metadata thing because it’s not sus and you don’t need to give your phone number for it

Session is into crypto, but doesn’t require a phone number and maybe doesn’t leak metadata

Briar is limited

Signal has the best user experience out of all of them

god fucking dammit

I’ll still keep using Signal because it’s IMO the most user-friendly encrypted messenger available, I can actually get people on it. But this is concerning

Well, this is my great worry about getting a car realized, oof. More Than Bikes is a great YouTube channel yeah. I’m also anxious about a car crash killing me - I wonder how the smoking cigarettes death toll compares to the car crash death toll

I’m normally a very chill person, maybe the most chill person I know irl, but I’m literally swearing constantly, like for real. I’m getting flashbacks to my childhood and my dad getting pissed at other drivers. ButtBidet was a sensitive kid and it was a bit traumatic. But let me tell you, I felt like my dad and I fucking hated every second of it.

I feel that. On the plus side, at least your dad (maybe) wasn’t sexist towards woman drivers; my kid self still remembers that

Congrats!

I don’t know about Clip Studio Paint/Zbrush, but the best art program on Linux is Krita. It’s really promising, a lot of people love using it, and it should be available on Mint’s app store. Might be worth checking out!

Pixel 4a, the phone right? Linux doesn’t run on it, but CalyxOS is a really awesome, privacy-oriented operating system that you could put on it.

For a Surface 6, I know it’s possible to put Linux on a Surface 3 from this post, at least
