confession - my favourite Beatles songs are the early ones and the Paul songs everyone thinks suck because they’re dumb and catchy and I fucking love the Monkees as well. I also adore Buddy Holly for similar reasons.

However my favourite bands are They Might Be Giants, The Smiths and the Mountain Goats and so my taste is very much in question generally, as users on this website remind me whenever music taste comes up.
