There’s little that could do as good a job at dehumanizing Americans than republican culture war nonsense and Ted Cruz in particular.
Like i get the war hawks, I get the profiteers and all. I get the fucked up christians, I get the anti-LGBTQ+ Crowd, none of it is a particularly american phenomenon, setting aside scale.
I absolutely do not get whatever the fuck this shit is and why, judging by the likes, it actually seems to land.

I think it lands like a missile. Cruz and his media helpers know how to hit the hot right-wing buttons. Some right-wingers are in on the joke. And it seems insane that anybody could get incensed about packets of fast food sauces but 10,000,000s of right-wingers have gone around the bend. They’re insane.
Imagine being apoplectic and ready to explode all the time. You don’t really understand why - even though you think that you do. You are 100% unwilling to do even an iota of self-introspection. Rage stops you from being able to really think about anything serious.

That’s been the right-wing since ~2015 when Trump got the republican nomination via nonsense: “Build the wall”, “Drain the swamp”, “Lock her up”, etc. Owning the libs became more important than anything else.
If the GOP controls everything in 2024 - the right-wing will be insane with joy. And if the GOP wreck healthcare - the right-wing will dance in the streets until they have a serious medical problem that under m4a would cost them - say, $200 but under GOPcare - they get a bill for $200,000.
It will be far too late to think.

When there is legitimately so, so much to crush Ted Cruz with, it’s a bad look to be humorless and take a joke seriously. And Biden, too. He’s already deported more people than Trump did in his whole term.
