He’s an odd one. My father had a couple of his books (bought right before Dilbert was hitting it’s stride), and IIRC in the forward and elsewhere he made fun of himself, and was a vegetarian liberal.

He had this thing about persuasion. He was getting really deep into it during the 2016 election. I’m sure this tweet is one of his psychological experiments, designed to elicit certain responses. Hey, it got reposted, didn’t it? People can’t stop themselves from helping him.
I remember that; I also remember him getting ousted on his own comics forum for masquerading as an anonymous defender of himself (using alt accounts to defend himself, basically).
