I’m starting to suspect that the new crop of CIA are the failsons of the effective monsters of the Cold War
They haven’t caught up with the internet age, and the old tactics don’t work as well when information travels faster and with less friction. It’s a lot harder to pull this shit when there’s thousands of actual citizens on the ground in whatever country is being targeted countering the propaganda in real time.
Or maybe we can give our side some credit for once and say we have gained experience and learnt.
I’m gonna do a synthesis. They were too effective in the imperial core, so the failsons rising up had no real movements to whet their teeth on. Meanwhile, all the nice leftists they could trick in the third world they killed off already, so only the more vicious and paranoid(both words being positive in my appraisal) leftists remained. Weaker fascists went up against stronger leftists and are crumbling.
