The guy running for office that got booed out of the hall at the end or the violent robber bible salesman?
Every KKK in the movie. The worst is when they are played for laughs when they are dancing like the Wicked Witch’s soldiers. None of them are denounced in the strongest terms. I mean, they’re KKK, how hard a message is that to insert into a movie? It writes itself.
So, the scene where the heroes rescue their black friend and nearly spear a kkk member on their own flag after toppling a burning cross and setting several on fire and it being clearly depicted as good isn’t a strong enough denunciation?
No. Should have actually speared him. And then set the rest on fire. And let the camera linger on the screams for 15 minutes of running time.
How hard is it to denounce the literal KKK onscreen? And yet they didn’t do it. And what’s with all your upvotes defending the KKK?
