At the risk of repeating myself on this site… had Hitler played his cards a little differently “WW2” could have been a triple alliance of Hitler, Roosevelt, and Churchill against the USSR. And even if he still killed millions in a Holocaust, Hitler would have been remembered much in the same way Americans remember* Papa Doc, Batista, the Shah of Iran, Pinochet, Saddam pre-Desert Storm, the military dictatorship in South Korea, etc. At worst, he would have been remembered like Franco - a “tough guy” who did some rough things but still “someone the US could work with”

That theoretically puts China and Russia on the same side, and potentially more closely engaged from the start. Speedrun the war in the pacific, as if Russia allies with China early they can attack Japan directly right after the invasion of Manchuria, maybe stop the atrocities committed there. Once they go straight for Japan, who now has no hope for getting fuel supplies in time, it’s over. Now the two most populace countries just have to hold off the strongest empires and germany. I’m willing to bet Churchill would do something stupid and start a fight with hitler the same way he kept screwing over Stalin. Bottom line, All of Eurasia could be Soviet territory. or not, we can imagine whatever we like could have happened.
