At first, I was pretty pissed at Bad Empanada for tweeting shit like this. We definitely don’t need this infighting.

He carries on: Marxists don’t need to be like ‘well like uh, there was maybe an Anarchist book club attended by 3 people in 1920’, because Marxists actually have entire movements that get shit done. Anarchism, for all real intents and purposes, does not exist outside of first world lifestylism.

Now, lemme back up and say that Bad Empanada did not start this round. He was responding to this thread.. In which claims are made that “Tankies” don’t read Marx, Lenin, Stalin, or Mao. They’re just anti-US. Then, during the thread, “Tankie” turns to ML. Which then turns to Marxism (via Bad Empanada).

And, it goes even deeper, because that thread itself was responding to this one which says, quite clearly that the problem is “authoritarian leftists” as a whole which is described as people who haven’t read Marx but misrepresentations of Marx by Lenin, Stalin or Mao.

And by now I’m completely lost. Like, I came into this pissed at Bad Empanada for trying to minimize the impact of anarchist thought and now I’m equally pissed at all these anarchists (the specific ones I’ve linked, no one else) for starting this round to begin with.

I’m sure something must’ve happened that made Anark tweet it. Maybe he debated some dumdum. Many Auth-Left/Tankie/ML/Marxists debatelords are cringe. You know, most people who get into online debates are cringe. But now the entire thing is again snowballing into a giant Red vs Black issue.

Why can’t we all just get along and fight the state and capitalism together -_-
