At first, I was pretty pissed at Bad Empanada for tweeting shit like this. We definitely don’t need this infighting.
Now, lemme back up and say that Bad Empanada did not start this round. He was responding to this thread.. In which claims are made that “Tankies” don’t read Marx, Lenin, Stalin, or Mao. They’re just anti-US. Then, during the thread, “Tankie” turns to ML. Which then turns to Marxism (via Bad Empanada).
And, it goes even deeper, because that thread itself was responding to this one which says, quite clearly that the problem is “authoritarian leftists” as a whole which is described as people who haven’t read Marx but misrepresentations of Marx by Lenin, Stalin or Mao.
And by now I’m completely lost. Like, I came into this pissed at Bad Empanada for trying to minimize the impact of anarchist thought and now I’m equally pissed at all these anarchists (the specific ones I’ve linked, no one else) for starting this round to begin with.
I’m sure something must’ve happened that made Anark tweet it. Maybe he debated some dumdum. Many Auth-Left/Tankie/ML/Marxists debatelords are cringe. You know, most people who get into online debates are cringe. But now the entire thing is again snowballing into a giant Red vs Black issue.

Online Tankies have as much to do with the success of their ideology they read about as the Online Anarchist they dunk on for the failures of their ideology. Which is to say none. Leftist infighting is incredibly useless to anyone but the powers of capitalism.

Those successes arent proof that those ideologies are more correct, just that those people, with the help of their ideologies succeeded in getting what they were after.

This is just going way too far into the other direction, what do you define as “help”? If ideology is a defining factor of success then you certainly can claim it is at least partialy responsible, this is basicaly arguing semantics, without even mentioning that ideology plays a key part into getting people to fight in the first place, after all it is not particularly difficult to manipulate people to support their oppressors or believe that fighting for their own interests is bad in the long run.
You could also argue from many philosophical nuances including scientific truth, certain ideologies are definitely closer to describing and leading to correct actions according to how the universe actualy functions than others i.e capitalism is anti-scientific just as any religion, it belongs in a group of ideologies that completely disregard basic scientific facts about the universe and nature in order to among many things promote the material and social supremacy of a particular group of people.
You can definitely make an axis of “most correct” ideologies, the only thing you need is to agree with a few basic principles and premises.

Twitter is objectively the worst social network in the world. Its only purpose is to tell your followers a new product just dropped, it is explicitly designed this way and you can’t do anything else, the website purposefully restricts any meaningful interaction with the 280 symbols limitation.
There are websites with worse users, but none are as fundamentally worthless as twitter.
