I’m 42 years old and only happened to find out about Clapton being an asshole a few years ago. Why? Because I’ve always thought that his music is the most boring vanilla blues lawyer dreck possible, so of course I’ve had no interest in the guy’s personal convictions either. The idea that my dislike of his work is “inferred from politics” is objectively wrong.

I’ll concede that Cream does have some good shit though, but that’s obviously more down to Baker and Bruce, as evidenced by Clapton’s miserable solo career.
