If this shit catches on before i’m thrust into the labor market from college, I’m gunning straight for a socially essential IRL job like waste management that will take one hell of a grift to move into the metaverse. Fuck web3, fuck digital “assets”, fuck intellectual property, fuck facebook, fuck the entire concept. I have principles surrounding tech and privacy, and unlike my views on the path to communism, I am extremely inflexible on them.

I am optimistic. I am of the age that vr still seems like wondefful magic to me. I did a minigolf thing in one and It was what I could only have dreamed of as a child. If that tech means I can just telecommute for bullshit office stuff as well that seems like a win to me.
For it to catch on VR helmets need to become lightweight and cheap. VR helmets now are like cell phones in the 80’s. I could see you making them lightweight and leasing them from Verizon though
