ask literally anybody on that site about what the Tiananmen Square protests were actually about or even what happened beyond “a dude stood in front of some tanks” and the Wikipedia traffic to that page would skyrocket

This is a pretty accepted narrative among liberals. I’ve been called a monster because, “Okay, so you’re fine with the CCP grinding up their own citizens with tanks and washing their pulpy bodies down the drains. This conversation is over.” :mao-wave:

The only “evidence” they have for this are low-res pictures of the square, with what is clearly bicycles strewn across the ground.

I couldn’t believe my eyes the first time I came across a reddit thread with that picture. There were literally hundreds of comments of people pretending what they were looking at was actually human remains. These people want to believe it so bad, I couldn’t and still can’t believe the levels of cognitive dissonance / mass psychosis I saw in that thread.

Doesn’t exactly help that the uncut, unedited footage of the tank guy incident (the one which shows that he was standing on top of the tank and bickering with the crew without getting shot) gets buried by the algorithm.

pretty sure most of them think the dude was run over

They “know” he was run over, and will call you a tankie if you suggest otherwise. Footage doctored, official accounts all lies, etc etc.

They probably assume that guy dreamed of one day having the freedom to work in a McDonalds.

They think the protesters were run over:

Students linked arms but were mown down, including soldiers." “APCs then ran over bodies time and time again to make “pie” and remains collected by bulldozer. Remains incinerated and then hosed down drains,” it said. The cable, which described the 27th Army as illiterate “primitives” from the northern province of Shanxi, commanded by the nephew of then Chinese President Yang Shangkun, said the heavily armed troops were kept without news for 10 days and told they were to take part in a military exercise.

People actually believe this shit

bit idea: go up to people discussing this saying “Yes this is true I have the pictures” then links to the pictures of lynched PLA troops.

The first rule of murdering someone is to keep them alive until the point of burial because its easier for a human body to move itself than for you to move the remains. The narrative about the CPC coverup of Tiananmen is tectonic in scale.

It’s straight-up blackpill shit. What hope is there for anything good to happen in the western world when 99% of people are so far gone that they’ll believe this?
