Tucker is a deluded idiot, who wants the military to not “waste” their time abroad maintaining the empire, because there are so many enemies at home. So Tucker is more like the isolationists of the early 20th century than anything else. Tucker is also a fascist, but that goes for almost every media-figure on the right.

Those people were right…the US never should have built an empire. It’s spending itself to death, it’s murdering millions across the globe, and Americans can’t even have things like healthcare and free college - all of which would be easily solved if not for unchecked military spending. The US is sending weapons to literal neo nazis in Ukraine as we speak.
Obviously you are right in that America as an Empire has been incredibly bad for the world, and in particular for the Global South, however I just wanted to point out that Tucker isn’t an anti-imperialist because of those reasons, but instead because he wants to take colonial relations and bring them home. And I shudder to think what his version of America looks like, because it’s probably gonna be REAL fucking grim.
