I mean, the Buck Angel thing was more than just featuring him in a video, she then pretended that the only bad thing he’d ever done was to out Lana Wachowski back in the early 00s(and strawmanned all her critics as anime nazis for caring about it) and also said that because Buck Angel is like a “trans legend” or something we cant tell him to fuck off for being a rampant quisling and transmedicalist.
Yeah she didn’t really engage with the criticism of Buck Angel. He’s a huge piece of shit and she (kinda) defended him. She did acknowledge other problems with what he said about non-binary people, etc, but in the context of hand-waving it all away, like “yeah he’s wrong about this, why do you care so much?”
But the context was that she was at the center of a Twitter witch hunt because of a 15 second voice clip in one of her videos, which didn’t endorse or even mention any of Buck’s problematic views. People were hounding random other YouTubers just for being friendly with her, even if they had nothing to do with the controversy. It was crazy.
