At work, I had a eastern Ukrainian woman tell me that Putin was a communist and he was trying to rebuild the USSR. She also supported a no fly zone 🙃

Those polls are always so stupid. You could have a poll that asks “Should NATO implement a no-fly zone over Ukraine to save lives?” and people will vote yes, then you can later ask “Should NATO shoot down Russian planes, which is considered an act of war?” and they’ll vote no.

I recall a poll where most Americans couldn’t even name the 3 branches of the US government a few years ago, so I don’t think they’re too well-versed on other countries or their politics/economies.

Page 70 has the question… in question… And only 11,% of respondents identify Russia as a capitalist economy. Which it indisputably is.

The propaganda runs too deep. Only thing that will disabuse people is a decline in living standards. My opinion is that all we can do is sit back and wait for the spell to be broken, if it can be at this point.
