I remember people shitting on the Chapos for doing lots of movie episodes, but I dunno, I wish more “leftist” podcasters would have the humility to admit they’re fucking morons and just do fun article reads.
Anyway, I really need to stop listening to podcasts apparently. I just wanted something to have in the background while gaming :sadness:. Citations Needed and Rev Left Radio are too dry and attention-demanding for that, I need dumb bits and gags.
:yikes: it reminds me of that tweet that Alice did early on in the pandemic that the biggest impact of Covid was that people would be annoyed with Amazon orders being slower, or something along those lines.
It really winds me up when they talk about something I know a tiny bit about, and see how many factual inaccuracies they present with confidence and aplomb. A lot of podcasts do this, but TF is especially bad. They’ve posted and podded themselves out of any sense of humility or genuine engagement with topics beyond a reflexive one liner.
