So far the Chapos have had good takes about the Ukraine thing; specifically their last episode it’s the opposite of every bad point you listed.
TF fell off hard about 6-9 months ago. Milo wants to focus on other things, clearly. Riley has run out of funny businesses/articles. Alice got brain rot from hanging around with Liam. Nate got brain rot from being a vet. And Hussein isn’t really on it any more which is the final nail tbh,
Yeah, I enjoy MOOD and 10kP a lot more than TF these days. And I even quite like the Bottlemen, Riley’s analysis of Ukrainian Nazis in Canada is always really good.
I wonder if it’s entirely me just not liking Alice as much as I used to? I know Aby from Philosophy Tube / KBJ is basically paid for by the British State, I wonder if Alice is similarly compromised and that’s why I hate her shit takes these days? Or people just grow and get more boring, idk
:yikes: it reminds me of that tweet that Alice did early on in the pandemic that the biggest impact of Covid was that people would be annoyed with Amazon orders being slower, or something along those lines.
It really winds me up when they talk about something I know a tiny bit about, and see how many factual inaccuracies they present with confidence and aplomb. A lot of podcasts do this, but TF is especially bad. They’ve posted and podded themselves out of any sense of humility or genuine engagement with topics beyond a reflexive one liner.
