I was radicalizing, yeah, but into the local trot party that had the biggest influence. If it weren’t for loose anarchists wandering around reddit I’d never have escape the electoral quagmire that is socialist alternative
I love it, they’ll come up to you as just some enthusiastic dude ready to talk politics, and then like 15 minutes in they pull out the email list. I got approached as a SAlt member at a SAlt event by a lost recruiter.
The funniest though was some dude on the bus heard me talking to some friends and then pulled open his trenchcoat, which was full of SAlt newspapers, and asked “you kids hear about socialism?” Like, an irl version of the shady Lenin meme. I was losing it.
