Ephebophilia/hebephilia is completely normal. (Specifically the attraction - the practice itself should never be normalized in developed society.) Post-pubescent late teens have the characteristics that draw attention on visceral, erogenous/brain-impulse, mating/reproduction level.
There was a post in here about the 10 most dangerous books of the 19th and 20th century that included Nietzsche, Mao, and Marx, but the strange outlier of the group is the Kinsey Reports. The reason it’s considered so controversial is because it was the first (and only) study of its kind to explore human sexuality. It reveals some uncomfortable trends that I’ll let most people research themselves.
So have at it. Disparage the messenger and hand in my libertarian card. The data disagrees with you, though.
(Again, not in any way advocating on the practice)
the issue with saying something is “normal” is that that in itself normalizes the thing.
youre not wrong its just that reality is awful
I totally agree. I just think not having an honest conversation about it creates mixed messaging.
yeah, i would instead say that those are “common” things, rather than “normal” things.
racism is common. murder is common. etc
they arnt “normal”
reality sucks. why are people the way they are?
>Ephebophilia/hebephilia is completely normal.
Found the lolicon.
>The data disagrees with you, though.
What data? I would not recommend believing such theories until and unless the people who ran the study make transparent the sample population, sample size, methodology, and analysis.
E.g. If the researchers just used 10 random rich caucasian male cunts from an age range of 50-70 on Epstein’s island to gather data, the results would be very different than if they used >10,000 people from an age range of 20-80 internationally across multiple cultures, ethnic backgrounds and “income levels”.
The sociological data underlying the analysis and conclusions found in Sexual Behavior in the Human Male was collected from approximately 5,300 males over a fifteen year period. Sexual Behavior in the Human Female was based on personal interviews with approximately 6,000 women. In the latter, Kinsey analyzed data for the frequency with which women participate in various types of sexual activity and looked at how factors such as age, social-economic status and religious adherence influence sexual behavior. Comparisons are made of female and male sexual activities. Kinsey’s evidence suggested that women were less sexually active than men.
Ok but which country/regions were the 5,300 males and 6,000 females residing in?
This may also have had an effect on the validity in generalizing the results to a population of 7+ billion people.
Did the authors also talk about possible errors/flaws in their methods?
>but do you think chimpanzees wait until a female chimp turns 18 before breeding with her?
Did you know chimpanzees fling diseased shit at each other and have a max lifespan of 40 years? This is like planning societal organization based on how some characteristics of our nervous system are similar to that of a lobster’s. We are not chimps, we are humans.
>Being sexually mature comes well before 18 in most people, so it follows that if someone is sexually mature, then they could also be viewed as sexually available.
>sexually available
yikes
Eugenicists bring these sort of Darwinian concepts. It’s exactly what makes us more enlightened and not simply animals, so the comparison doesn’t work.
Did you mean that in like an evolutionary/instinct sense? And like mentioned above, did you mean to use common instead of normal?
I mean that it is normal in whatever sense that it is normal to be attracted to the idea of rape. I really don’t care to argue about the definition of “normal” since that does not sound like a productive or interesting use of time whatsoever.
Sure, common is another word you could use to get across the same point.
Of course it’s not a perfect cutoff where girls suddenly become attractive on their 18th birthday.
However, the second you describe someone you’re attracted to as a Child, and remain attracted to them, something is wrong.
for the sake of argument, how do you feel about the exceedingly common attraction to the idea of rape?
