I think that one Bourdain quote at the beginning is the only time he was ever wrong.
Oh is he otherwise good? I remember reading that passage early on (I think it might be in the first chapter of one of his books?) and I never looked at him again, just sounded like a chauvinist chud.
The only other thing I’ve read by him is the quote they keep at the top of the Kissinger Death Tontine site, which is admittedly based, but also kind of lib.
