Even if you believed that decetralized organization is better for protest/revolutionary orgs, surely you would never say it this way, right? How is discouraging people from being organizers not effectively just discouraging organizing? I’m not usually this person, but this has to be an op.

Right.

As an anarchist, I can confirm - decentralization requires a huge amount of organization. More, in fact, than centralization. It requires that a higher portion of participants be organizers.

That said… while I don’t agree with the tweet’s framing, everything it complains about is a real problem. The idea of organizers as a special and distinct group is just inventing a new bullshit hierarchy, and sitting around waiting for someone to organize you is bad praxis. An organizer shouldn’t be a kind of person, it should just be a word that describes a person who is presently organizing. Like antifa, or viking.

We don’t need liberal organizers, that are really just (poor) mobilizers and creating an “organizer” social role. We need real organization and mobilization.

But what we don’t need is that organization denouncing people (whose rage has led them to take action against the forces of oppression) in the name of some “grand revolutionary plan” some idiot communist wanna be vanguards think everyone has to follow.
