$35 application fee, per adult, for the apartment we looked at yesterday.

30+ applicants according to the zillow listing.

Which means the landlord has already made over a thousand dollars from people he will not be renting the place to.

The fee is typically used to cover the hard cost of processing the rental application such as the cost of running a background check.
