You joke, but that was a pretty normal childhood for the religious petty bourgeois around here. Most of us came out normal, there are like 4 kids from that group in the local DSA now and a ton more that just vibe in the local service industry. Madison was always special because his dad owned a used car dealership, just the absolute dredges of society.
This guy’s story just keeps getting worse and worse, used car salesman parents to top it off.

There are some good interviews with people from the community in the regional papers, I think the Asheville Citizen Times and Mountain Xpress both have interviews if you’re interested in reading some more.
It’s really clear from hearing him talk that he never grew up. He’s still the exact same as he was when he was 15.
