Russiagate was the final nail in the coffin of this country. Dems always sucked, but on the ground, they used to be anti war and more willing to do Occupy Wall Street type stuff. It wasn’t awesome, but it was better than deep throating the status quo boot.
Eh the anti-war movement was dead in the Democratic Party as soon as Obama co-opted it and then suffocated it methodically. It was really just a momentary anti-Bush flare up and nothing principled, otherwise those anti-Iraq War protesters should have also protested Libya, Syria, the surge, Honduras, etc.
It turns out that many of those protesters felt greater loyalty to the DNC and Obama than they did to the targets of imperialism. No surprise that when those 2 come into conflict, the corporate warmonger party would come out on top for them.
