Look, there’s a greater chance of Trump winning than not. And even if that isn’t true, you have to think that way in order to win. If corona takes him out of the running, good. It doesn’t matter that his supporters won’t accept it because they won’t accept it anyways.

Trump will never be “fairly beaten” or whatever the fuck these people think. It’s not an episode of West Wing where Trump will fight and then just accept the greater argument against him. I’d rather take a sure fire corona death than some gamble if he lives that he’ll just realize he’s beaten and go away.

This kind of dumb shit sounds great but it’s idealistic at best and delusion at worst. And mods posting this shit and immediately locking their threads is cowardice.

I think someone on Twitter made a Sorkin parody where Trump loses the election because he’s got Covid, and Joe Biden refuses to accept the results. Joe calls for a runoff election so Trump can give the American people the campaign they deserve. Trump wins that election, but he learns a lesson about patriotism and governs as a changed man.
