I think it’s pretty obvious that this article was written by a white guy. Part of the article feels like the author was writing about his own unique experiences as a white person.

Being that the article was written from the perspective of a white guy, some of the article may be misinformed on the experiences of nonwhite people.

One example of why it is sometimes important to step outside the “race” lens, notably in medicine. More often than not in this domain it just propagates harmful stereotypes that postpone important choices.
