I always kind of figured the bot itself was tongue in cheek

Pretty much all the bots on the old sub were annoying. And all reddit bots. Except n word bot.

n word bot was a true comrade

People who were raiding the server after stalking a comrade from some other sub always got mad when the bot finds the n word

god forbid someone doesn’t get a joke because it isn’t labelled “joke”

harassing people isn’t allowed here nor on the old sub. why should making less funny posts be expected over, you know, having a culture of people not being dicks cause they didn’t get something.

in conclusion /s bad and this site is good :)

This is the first I’m hearing of the /s tag having utility for accessibility.

Seems like a really good point, consider me a convert to the Sarc Mark Crew.

Thinking about it, yeah… That tracks. I think I must have internalized a sort of humor-chauvinism that I hadn’t really examined before. Somehow, ‘making a joke more recognizable to readers,’ just didn’t feel related to accessibility until now.

Seems absurd in hindsight, so I’m glad you brought it up.
