This is the place for discussion about firearms and related topics.

No fedposting. Be careful not to dox yourself. Talking about and owning guns obviously isn’t illegal, but that doesn’t mean some chud won’t try to use information against you.

I highly recommend using a throwaway when asking for or giving advice that may include identifying information. Using Tor doesn’t hurt.

Forgot I had a gun and realized I haven’t oiled it in like a year. Will probably do it today. I have CLP but I was wondering if synthetic car oil will work like or if that’s just boomer lore

I’ve heard of people using car oil to good results but no personal experience. Probably don’t use it on a carry gun unless you’re sure it will work.

I’ve never heard this. I feel like it might work as like a preservative oil but probably won’t be great for cleaning?
