Pantone <noun> [usually as modifier] <trademark> A system for matching colors, used in specifying printing inks: Pantone colors. Etymology: 1960s an invented name.

Color is… complicated, for sure. Captain Disillusion did a decent video about covering the complexities of relation between color, human vision, and screens. My favourite sentence is “a spectrum locus plotted inside the cone excitation space.”
