0 understanding of context, this year is the first year that events started happening, nothing came before or after, also nuclear weapons don’t exist and geopolitics is like individuals

the whole personification of states is the weirdest to me, and comparing the invasion to rape ect… very concerning, because it’s so weak to bad faith retorques like “Dombass is a person too actually” . Now any concern for the Ukranian war machine is met with “oh you’re saying it’s the woman’s fault?” these people don’t care for the reality of the situation, they’re being fed feel good propaganda every 24h to keep it that way

Personification of states is nationalism. It eliminates the nuance of people and states being separate entities by merging them together.

no I’m saying this is a bad metaphor might work as it at least reframes the conversation into this discussion rather than allowing someone to accuse you of being a rape apoligist because of your unwillingness to arm neo-nazis
