So many libs in my life are getting tattoos like this. Several of them previously described themselves as socialists, one of whom got a tattoo of Kamala Harris on her thigh.
One guy got one Ukrainian coat of arms against a red and black background, since he quote “liked the colors.” I asked him if he had any family connection to Ukraine, he had a canned response he says to a lot of people where he says “I thought Kiev was a type of chicken before this year!” (He’s a goofy boomer grill guy type)
So I told this guy directly he got a tattoo of the Banderite flag. He asks me what that means, and I try to explain in the 60 seconds I had with him to check into it, but he seemed really skeptical. He said “Those Russians will say anything.” I don’t get it. This guy is from Dallas. He shouldn’t have any specific opinions about Ukrainian national identity to the point of being a Banderite proxy.
I explained to a coworker about the red and black banderite flag and she removed it (it was like one of those rubber cause bands), people are reachable but it did make me feel and probably look like a freak for knowing eastern european nazi minutia.

If I stumbled into a tattoo parlor and saw this my mind would shatter like the protagonist of a cosmic horror story seeing Cthulhu.
