is it greed or is it wanting to live a life not in stress? greed is wanting unlimited wealth, private jets, etc. if me wanting to live a life without stress with a garden on my porch is greed i guess im the greediest motherfucker alive, which is an absurd definition

Yea I am conflating greed with self-interest needlessly, you could call greed self-interest which steps on or neglects others, or is mindlessly focused on enjoying yourself (sometimes to the point it goes against your self-interest in the long run)
pretty pedantic. the system itself steps on everyone. by your definition, that means everyone is inherently greedy or ‘self interested’ as a result of the system despite wanting the same general ungreedy and unselfish desire of simple lives without stress. its a misanthropic view of the world. people can be misled by the greedy, of course, its what greedy people are good at.
No if you read what I said, it’s that greed is the point self-interest crosses over into being bad. Self-interest is just wanting a good life for yourself. You guys are all online as shit goddamn you’re not being raided by libertarians. It’s 2022.
