He might be evil, but unlike the MAGAs he actually understands the politics of power; Ukraine has to be a US ‘win’ in the same was as the US has to be prepared to go to war to defend Taiwan. Lose those and the international order, which massively benefits the US, falls apart.

well they don’t even understand that to maintain the “international order”, Ukraine only has to be another forever war that doesn’t even have to be won by NATO, but only needs to be waged as long as possible to keep Russia occupied and prevent the economic threat of an EU running on cheap Russian gas.
