Did Vine ever get replaced? No. The app was gone and so was all the creativity and effort. Tiktok will be similar. The western corpos trying to replicate it are incredibly bad at it. Which is why they’re banning it.

In addition, this will fracture the international appeal of the app. Tiktok is used basically everywhere. But the Amerikan replacement will only be used in America.

Vine lost too much in the transition to Musically as some creators just went to YouTube instead. And the transition from Musically to TikTok was even worse (for Vine-style content).

Basically all that remains are a few cool edit vids like Zach King and music/dance vids.

Tik Tok and YouTube after they changed the algorithm basically replaced vine. There was also that music dancing one. It’s not the same, but I doubt anyone cares that much about the people that got famous on vine not making loads of money anymore.

Yeah, I was using that to show how platforms don’t just magically get replaced if one goes down. The style of content might jus the lost forever.

For the older peeps, Facebook replaced MySpace but you remember how different the two were? MySpace kind of customisation and stuff was gone forever.

(This might be totally wrong cuz I never used it lol. It was gone by the time I got on social media).
